a comparison between “spэništa mainyu”- “spэnta mainyu” in zoroaster’s gāthas and “al-fayd al-aqdas”- “al-fayd al-muqaddas” in ibn arabi’s mystical system.

this article tries to compare two contiguous concepts inzoroaster’s gāthas, “spэništa mainyu”- “spэnta mainyu”, withtwo others in ibn arabi’s mystical system, “al-fayḍ al-aqdas”-“al-fayḍ al-muqaddas”. by this comparison, we are in quest ofarraying an explanation of two basic concepts of the gāthaswithin the theories of a major figure of islamic mysticism ratherthan corresponding these two to those. for this purpose, thispaper takes a look at “spэništa mainyu” and “spэnta mainyu”and after pursuing the function of these two hypostasises ingāthic theology, in the second part, it offers a very shortexplanation about the two ibn-arabian concepts “al-fayḍ alaqdas”and “al-fayḍ al-muqaddas”. in the third part thementioned comparison between the two gāthic elements andthe two ibn-arabian is accomplished. the gāthic terms, wordsand phrases are transcripted according to humbach’s method allover this article.
